Infrastructure
Long before we actually looked at building on Duneland we prepared for the impact that it would have on the rest of The Park. Recognising that increased housing will create more traffic within The Park we contributed 1/3 of costs for the new and safer entrance to The Park as far back as 1998.
Electricity production
The community’s windmills are located on Duneland property which ensures a potential for expansion of the community’s energy production in the future.
Sewage Treatment
The soak away for the innovative Living Machine sewage treatment plant also lies on our land.
Green Burial
The Green Burial Site was developed as a natural complement in the holistic concept of the ecovillage. 1 acre of windblown pine plantation was cleared and is now managed by the Findhorn Hinterland Group, as a wood land burial site for members of the Findhorn Foundation Community and the public.
